Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Auto Reply Lite handles data, permissions, and information used to provide automatic replies, reply rules, artificial intelligence replies, backup features, app improvements, and advertisements.
Introduction
We respect user privacy and are committed to explaining how data is used inside Auto Reply Lite in a simple and transparent way. The app relies on permissions and user settings to detect incoming messages from notifications and send automatic replies.
By using Auto Reply Lite, you agree to the data handling practices described in this policy. If you do not agree with this policy, you may choose not to use the app or disable the features you do not want to use.
Data Used by the App
Auto Reply Lite uses certain data only to provide the features enabled by the user, such as automatic replies, rules, AI replies, backups, logs, and app performance improvements.
- Notifications and messages: The app reads notification content allowed by the user to detect incoming messages and perform automatic replies according to the user’s settings.
- Contacts: If the user chooses to add allowed, excluded, or blocked contacts, this data is stored locally on the user’s device and used for filtering replies.
- Rules and replies: Reply texts, keywords, conditions, timing options, target apps, and AI instructions are stored inside the app so replies can be sent as configured by the user.
- Conversation history and reply logs: The app may keep a history of replies or message-related logs on the device if this feature is enabled, to help the user review previous activity.
- API keys: When using AI providers, the user can add their own API keys to enable smart reply generation.
- Files and backups: When using backup or restore, a backup file may be created containing app data such as replies, rules, settings, contacts, and logs.
- Analytics data: The app may use Firebase Analytics or similar services to collect general usage data such as app usage, device type, errors, and crashes to improve app quality. This data does not include the content of personal messages.
- Advertising data: The app may use Google AdMob to display ads. Google may collect general information such as the advertising ID or usage data to show personalized or non-personalized ads depending on user settings and Google policies.
How We Use Information
Information is used only to operate app features selected by the user and to improve the app experience.
- Running automatic replies: To detect incoming messages and send the appropriate reply based on rules and settings.
- Personalizing replies: To allow selected contacts, exclude certain contacts, or reply only under specific conditions.
- Running rules: To send custom replies, prevent replies, delay replies, or choose the correct response based on the message.
- Running AI replies: When smart replies are enabled, message text or instructions may be sent to the AI provider selected by the user to generate a reply.
- Improving app performance: Through analytics and crash analysis, without using the content of personal messages.
- Displaying ads: Through Google AdMob or approved advertising services.
- Backup and restore: To save and restore app data when requested by the user.
Notification Access Permission
Auto Reply Lite needs notification access to detect new messages from messaging apps selected by the user. This permission is used only to perform automatic replies according to the settings configured by the user inside the app.
- The app uses notifications to detect incoming messages.
- The message may be checked against reply rules and user settings.
- The reply is sent through the available reply actions in the messaging app notification when possible.
- The user can disable notification access at any time from phone settings.
App Permissions
Auto Reply Lite may request certain permissions so the features selected by the user can work. Permissions are not used unless the user grants them through system settings or inside the app.
| Permission | Reason for Use |
|---|---|
| Notification Access | To detect incoming messages from messaging apps and perform automatic replies based on the user’s settings. |
| Contacts | To use allowed contacts, excluded contacts, or blocked contacts. This permission is optional depending on the user’s settings. |
| Send SMS | Used only if the user chooses to reply through SMS messages, according to the settings enabled inside the app. |
| Internet | Required for ads, Firebase services, AI providers, Google Drive backup, and some online features. |
| File Access | May be used when selecting files or saving and restoring backups with the user’s approval. |
| Google Drive | Used only if the user chooses to save or restore backups through their Google Drive account. |
Use of Artificial Intelligence
When AI replies are enabled, the message text, part of the conversation context, or the instructions defined by the user may be sent to the AI provider selected by the user in order to generate a suitable reply.
The app may support providers such as Gemini, ChatGPT, DeepSeek, Claude, Grok, or other supported AI services depending on the app version and user settings. When using any external provider, the data sent may be subject to that provider’s privacy policy and terms of use.
- General instructions: Used by the app to guide the AI reply style.
- Rule instructions: If a rule contains custom instructions, they may be used to generate the reply.
- Provider order: The app may move to another provider if the first provider fails, based on the user’s settings.
- API keys: Used by the app to connect to the providers selected by the user.
User API Keys
If the user adds API keys for AI providers, they are used to run smart reply features according to the user’s settings. It is recommended to protect these keys and not share them with others.
- The app may allow adding more than one key for the same provider to reduce interruptions caused by limits or service load.
- The app may select a random key when more than one key is available to distribute usage.
- The user is responsible for their API keys and their account with the AI provider.
- Keys can be deleted or edited from inside the app depending on the available options.
Rules and Reply Settings
Auto Reply Lite uses the data created by the user inside reply rules and settings to perform automatic replies.
| Feature | Data Used | Reason for Use |
|---|---|---|
| Reply Rules | Keywords, conditions, time, reply type, and target app | To define when and how an automatic reply is sent |
| Saved Replies | Reply text, reply title, and reply options | To send the response selected by the user |
| Contact Filters | Contact name, number, allow status, exclusion status, or block status | To control who receives automatic replies |
| AI Instructions | User instructions, tone, style, and reply preferences | To help the AI generate replies that match the user’s needs |
